Types of Horse, Livestock & Agricultural Fencing We Provide

Depending on your fencing needs Fence-It has the expertise to provide you with durable, and affordable fence for any livestock or agricultural situation. Here are just some of the different types of fencing we specialize in:

Woven Wire Fencing or Wire Top Board Fencing

This type of fence has always been a popular choice for cattle ranchers but has seen in rise in popularity for housing hogs, sheep or exotics. If needed, barbed wire can easily be attached to the top layer of woven wire to prevent cattle from riding down the fence.

Barbed Wire Fence

Barbed wire is effective and economical. Usually attached across wood posts with metal T-Posts in between for greater strength, barbed wire strands are typically placed in 3 rows from post to post. This makes for a strong deterrent to cattle who brush up against the barbed wire.

4 Board Horse Fencing

This is very common in our service area. Known as 4 Board or Ranch style fence, this type of fence is not only practical and affordable, it is a great looking fence and will add value and appeal to any property.

High-Tensile Wire

Constructed along the same lines as a barbed wire fence, strands of smooth high-tensile wire are stretched and placed at intervals of 6”. These are attached to wooden posts. One of the advantages of high-tensile is cost, as the wire is less expensive than woven wire.

No Climb Horse Fencing

This type of fencing is designed specifically to keep horses or other livestock from stepping through or walking down a fence. We use a tightly woven 2” X 4” vertical mesh and this type of fence is ideal for hilly terrain. These fences have a galvanized coating that nearly eliminates maintenance so you can focus on your livestock and not your fence.

V Mesh Horse Fencing

This type of horse fence has twisted horizontal cable with two wires on 4” spacing from the ground to the top of the fence. In addition, vertical wires that are secured around the horizontal cable run diagonally across the fence creating its distinctive diamond pattern. This is an extremely strong fence but is resistant to your livestock getting a hoof or leg caught in the fence. They are also excellent for keeping any predatory animals out and away from livestock.
